Other than scientific theories
from the researcher about the Bermuda Triangle, there are also some
supernatural theories or we can describe it as paranormal theories from some
writer who make an investigation on the Bermuda Triangle. Here, there are three
legendary supernatural explanations regarding the Bermuda Triangle.
1. Atlantis – The Lost City
For the reason that there were
no satisfying explanations for the mystery of disappearance flights and ships
in the Bermuda Triangle, writers started blaming the mythical island of
Atlantis that located in the area of the Bermuda Triangle. Because of the myth
of Atlantis area that declares the location heavily depended on powerful
special energy crystals which were extremely powerful. Those crystals radiated
enormous amounts of energy (also known as death rays) that could break down the
navigational tools of aircrafts and ships. Therefore, the airplanes and boats
perhaps have been lost or get completely destroyed by the sheer power of the
energy. That is the reason why many people believed that the Atlantis
could have caused the disappearances.

Steven Spielberg’s is the one
who has proposed the theory of UFO when he wrote about one of the aircraft
which disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle which is Flight 19 on his book “Close
Encounters of the Third Kind”. The book explained that the airplane was kidnapped
by aliens. Even though their reasons are unclear, it has been suggested that the
aliens have chosen the Bermuda Triangle as a point at which to imprison and
abduct for unknown purposes. These supernatural theories do not really give superior
explanations for the disappearances but they were believed by a lot of people
since the ancient times.

3. Souls of Black Slaves
Dr. Kenneth McAll, a theorized
psychiatrist suggested that the disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle's are
the consequences of a curse. He believed the region may be haunted by the
spirits of the many African slaves who had been thrown overboard on their
voyage to America. This is because, on the 18th century, British sea captains
defrauded insurance companies by tossing slaves into the ocean to drown, then
cashing in on a claim for them.
